We Almost Won R2AK

Here is an amazing story of sailing at its best. Four guys from Utah, a very fast tri and a goal to win. This film also makes you appreciate how difficult this engineless race is. From 14 knot currents against you. floating logs that will sink boats, humpbacks that won't get out of the way and zero wind. If you do win, $10,000. Second place, a set of steak knives. In the 2026 Race to Alaska (R2AK), 70 boats started the race from Port Townsend, Washington, on June 14. Of those, 65 teams continued from Victoria, British Columbia, toward Ketchikan, Alaska, and 33 teams finished the race. 750 miles of everything nature can throw at you. Bon voyage indeed.
